That One Golden Circle

The circle is never ending. Our Love for each other is like the circle.
That one golden circle was given to me on this night 16 years ago
That one golden circle continues on it's never ending journey......... The years how quickly they become the past. And here we are......here we all are.

This over whelming feeling that takes a hold of your heart and wraps itself around until it almost hurts. This feeling I didn't know existed until I met the one that gave me that one golden circle.

And the two shall become one.  This feeling that just continues to get stronger. And somehow I didn't know that it could....I didn't realize that this love could keep growing. And we find we are more alike as the years go by, and we can read each others mind, And we know each others hearts as if they truly had grown into ONE.

Now I look back on all the memories, all that was made. And I can't imagine ever going back to a time without him, my Knight in Shining Armor. God knew I needed him, He knew what I needed. Every girl wants the fairy tale.....And I can truly say I am living The Fairy Tale.

Thanking GOD for the one who gave me that one golden circle.

What Makes a Happy Home?

What makes a happy home? I believe with all my heart that what makes a happy home is a happy husband.
And each day I'm thinking of ways to make my man happy. He is my provider, my lover and my best friend.

The one whom I adore, still even after all these years. Some may call it old fashion, to stand behind your man, to help him achieve his goals in life. I call it biblical.
I want him to have full confidence in me, to beable to count on me when there is no one else to count on.

Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. She brings good to him, not harm, all the days of her life. Proverbs 31:11-12

I firmly believe that the little things can make your man feel like a King. And when he feels like a King, it is then you are his Queen. It is only then you will truly feel like his Queen.
That means even though your tired, you need to remember he is tired too........And the giving of yourself unselfishly can bring so much into your marriage. And when all is said and done and the quiet I love yous are being said you will most likely find that you needed him too.

In todays world I feel we as women have lost our place, we have lost the true meaning of being a wife and have forgotten that we were made to be his help meet.

“And the Lord God said, it is not good that a man should be alone, I will make a help meet for him.” Gen 2:18

For it is my desire to please the One who made me, and in doing so I please the one He gave me.

This is my prayer that one day when my time is done here on this side of heaven that not only will my chidren rise and call me blessed, but that my man will also rise and call me blessed.

Her children arise and call her blessed, her husband also, and he praises her. Proverbs 31:28

Those words were said on our wedding night almost 16 years ago and they have been ringing through my ears ever since. I can still hear them being said and they play like a recording in my mind. Always reminding me that being a wife and a mother is the most precious thing God has ever called me to do.

Tucked Away In A Small Box

Tucked away in a small box filled with jewels that I  save only for Sunday's best, is a letter, a letter that I return to every now then.  The words scratched on paper, they are only meant for me.

And they came from his heart, written for my heart. The words fill my eyes and I melt. Oh how I love him. I always have, from the moment we met. I ran home to tell my Mama  "I found the man I'm going to marry." It was something I had never encountered before....Feelings so strong. Just a young girl not knowing where to go in this journey we call life. I wasn't looking for it. I wasn't aware that there could be anything like it. They always tell you "When you find it you will know, you will just know."

After 19 years I still get butterflies inside when he walks through the door, I really do. Why do they keep coming back? The butterflies that entangle my tummy and make me feel all warm. It's because he loves me. Not because of the words written, but for the actions given. He loves me.

Always wanting to please me. Knowing that communication is key to a strong marriage. I tell him everything......My best friend. And he listens in the quiet of the night and gives advise. That's when he gives his love. A love given so freely. That's when the "I love yous" whisper through the room, when all is quiet and the sand man has found the ones already tucked in bed.

And though I'm not as young and slender as I use to be. The 5 blessings have left reminders on my skin that has been stretched thin. I let him know how embarrassed I am that I had let myself go this way, And he caresses me any way. He pulls me in close, like he's never gonna let go. He thinks I'm still beautiful anyway. He loves me anyway. Anyway that I am. My hair all a mess, my face not done.

It doesn't matter to him I'm still his princess, the one he met almost 20 years ago.

And he knows I'm here for the long haul. I'm here for him, what ever he needs I will be here. As I pour his glass of tea I'm thankful for this man God has given me. This hard working man who still wishes to please me.

And until the day that I'm no longer breathing and my heart is no longer beating I will adore him and pour his glass of tea. Because it's the little things that matter. The actions of love that really matter. So let the butterflies fly and the quiet nights come. I'm still in love....... We are still in love........

Thankful

I am reminded every day, the sacrifices this one man makes for his wife and quiver full. The time and years he has put in. The dreams and hobbies he has put on the back burner while his little ones grow.
He rises every morning with the sun. Even on the days it's hard to get out of bed. I've seen him rise with body aches and fever and still he pushes on. What drives this man? What makes him sacrifice so much? What makes him love this much? I am................Thankful and yet that still doesn't seem to be enough. To be thankful, I mean.

This man of mine truly realizes the important role he plays in our lives. The man that fills these shoes, no one else could. We are meant for him and him for us. He is God's gift. He was picked out especially for us. And through his actions I see his faithful love, I feel secure and well taken care of.
This man that goes to work with out fail every morning, is the same man that nudges me out of bed on Sunday mornings to get ready for Church. He is the same man who loves me unconditionally through all my craziness. This man that keeps me grounded in life when life seems to take flight. I am...................Thankful and yet that doesn't seem to be enough, to be thankful, I mean.

This man who has sacrificed so much to give me what I need and way beyond my needs he also gives me my wants.................... I am Thankful and yet that doesn't seem to be enough, to be thankful, I mean.
